Just Married – Lindsey Krizek & Brandon Kolar

Lindsey and Brandon were married at Volunteer Park in Seattle, WA on June 12, 2010.

Marianne, Mother of the Bride, writes, “Amazingly, despite a cold, wet spring, we had lovely, sunny weather that day. Lindsey’s reception was on Seattle’s Lake Union at the Blue Ribbon Cooking School. (That’s the lake the Sleepless in Seattle house was on… it was across the lake from us!)

My daughter Lindsey’s birthday is Sept. 26 and her husband, Brandon’s birthday is Sept. 28. Brandon proposed on the day between.

On my birthday, Lindsey invited me to join her when the hair dresser played with styles.I did the alterations on her dress, raising the hem and creating a bustle. It took a few days to prepare myself emotionally to cut into it. It turned out wonderful! I had made my own wedding dress, so she was confident of my skills with the sewing machine.

It was a beautiful wedding and the newlyweds had a marvelous time.”

Kim & Whitney Create a Winter Wonderland

To many the Royal Wedding has yet to take place but to my daughter & our family the blessed event took place on Saturday December 18, 2010. My daughter, Whitney, was married to her Prince Charming in a magical winter wonderland wedding complete with crystals & falling snow.

I became a member of the MOB soon after my daughter became engaged last February. I found the site a great place to find ideas & gather my much needed information. Maureen & the blog readers became my go to for all kinds of ideas & information.

Whitney’s wedding took place in our hometown of Lebanon, TN. You never know what type of weather you will have in middle TN, but true to our winter wonderland theme it arrived sunny but also was bitter cold. Whitney knew when she was planning her wedding that she wanted a Christmas theme but for it to be done in a classy & elegant fashion. The colors she chose were red, black & silver. The decorations consisted of 3 trees covered only with clear & twinkling lights. The pews were flanked with silver & crystal candelabras. The aisle was covered with powdered snow, white rose petals, & glimmering crystals. A fake snow machine provided the perfect exit as the bride & groom left the church. Every moment of Whitney’s special day lived up to our expectations.

Congratulations to 2010 Mothers of the Bride

The MOB Blog and the Mother of the Bride Group on Facebook is not quite a year old, however, 2010 saw many of our members marry their daughters with the magical wedding of their dreams. These Mothers of the Bride are the first graduating class of our group.  Congratulations!

To celebrate our 2010 weddings The MOB Blog has added a section to the HOME page entitled “Just Married Photos” where we will proudly display a gallery of our member’s recent weddings. Adding this feature to the blog will provide a nice venue for you to share your accomplishment with Facebook members and friends made during the year. This section will also inspire Mothers of the Bride still in the wedding planning process.

The MOB Blog’s first “Just Married” wedding from 2010 will showcase Kim Francis and her daughter Whitney. Don’t miss Whitney’s elegant, holiday inspired setting.

If you would like to feature your daughter’s wedding on The MOB Blog, send me a message by clicking the CONTACT US button at the top of this page or send me a message via Facebook.  We look forward to sharing in your daughters special day.
