I loved how planning a wedding with Kate gave us reason to be together more frequently during that time. We enjoyed planning her wedding, attending wedding events; yet my favorite memories are not all wedding related.
Take time to simply enjoy being together.
WEDDING TIME OUTS:
1. Sunday Brunch You are going to love Sundays. Most wedding vendors don’t work on Sundays, so take advantage of the day off and linger together over omelets made to order.
2. Rock Climbing Who was it that said “Do one thing every day that scares you.” (Oh, yeah, the guy who told you to wear sunscreen.) And while you are off your feet you can look for your head that has been in the clouds since the proposal.
3. Volunteer Stressed out over party favors? Serving meals at a local food kitchen will help keep things in perspective while you enjoy working side by side to make other’s lives easier.
4. Take a Cooking Class Whether a whiz in the kitchen, or just a beginner, a cooking class is a great way to learn new techniques while meeting new people. (Then you can go home and replicate the recipes for the men in your lives.)
5. Set Mom up to E Mail Want to make everyone’s life easier? Set mom up on e mail, and add instant messenger at the same time. Life is short. And you have a lot to do.
