Maureen, I absolutely love this song!! It has always been a special one in our family! I’m sure the tears you shed will be those of pure joy in seeing your son on his special day. There is something about mothers & their little boys!! Can’t wait to hear all about Matt’s special day!!

Looks wonderful, I am taking my 2 adult children to Italy 25,27 for Thnksgiving and wondering where we could have a Thanksgiving feast We are staying in Tuscany in the Chianti region for 5 nights, and doing day trips and then 2 days in Rome. Any suggestions

I wouldn’t have done anything in my 40′s, Janet, because I just didn’t need it. Now that I’m at the far end of my 50′s, it’s definitely a different story.

Can you believe yours is done a few months already?! My daughter just got her album from her wedding last May! The photog had to redo it, since he made the first one with the pictures randomly placed according to the picture numbers. GRRR….who thought he wouldn’t even look at them and realize a single picture of the groom getting ready as the first album picture isn’t the best one to use!!

Thanks for sharing Cynthia! I know exactly what you mean when you described the events of the day as surreal – like watching a movie. They were events I had seen over again and again in my mind…and they came to pass pretty much as we had envisioned them. That is a special feeling!

As far as the calendar and the season playing a part on picking the wedding date and the venue, we definitely experienced that. My daughter was just graduating from college, and wanted as many of her friends to be still in town and available for the wedding as possible…hence it was one week after graduation. And we chose indoor venues because Central Texas in May can be thunderstormy, hot, and humid!

Hmmm.. I’ll have to keep Botox in mind for my younger daughter’s wedding! It may be a few years down the road….
